Children and Young People

At St David’s we welcome and encourage children and young people to come and worship with us.

If you want to do more, we have a range of groups for different ages and interests. These are:

All Age Service

We normally hold this in church on the first Sunday of the month at 10am. Bring yourself (and your family and friends) and enjoy singing, sketches, readings and prayers. Don’t be put off if you are worried about very young children, as we have a special area set aside (in the Lady Chapel) where parents can go with babies and toddlers if they wish, but still feel that they are part of the service. Everyone is welcome!

Junior Church

We meet at 10am on Sundays, except All Age Service Sundays. Click for more…

After School Church@St. David’s

After School Church is for primary school children and their parents/carers. It meets every Wednesday during term at 3.30pm until 4.30pm. There are crafts, games and refreshments followed by a short children’s service.  Click for more…

The Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade

Our Brigade is for children aged five and older. Click for more…

Open the Book

We believe in supporting the schools in our Parish as part of our Community activities. We take regular assemblies in our two Primary Schools as part of the ‘Open the Book’ scheme. Click for more…

All our adults who lead children’s groups are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) - used to be CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.

We welcome babies and toddlers to all our services, but recognise that sometimes they may become restless and unhappy with us!  We have a baby and toddler area in our small, glass-fronted chapel for them to have some play time with you.  Feel free to make use of this area.
